Project Summery
The redeveloped Allianz Stadium in Sydney represents the latest trends in global sport architecture. Designed as a multi-use rectangular stadium, it can accommodate football, rugby league, and rugby union. The stadium, home to the Sydney Roosters, NSW Waratahs, and Sydney FC, is also suitable for cultural and community events. Located in the Moore Park area, the stadium enhances the recreation and sports precinct, providing new active spaces for the community. The dynamic roof form covers all seats and serves as a distinctive feature. The stadium’s façade incorporates elements of technology, engineering, and art, blending with the surroundings of Moore Park. Overall, the redevelopment showcases modern design, functionality, and integration with the natural environment.

Overview & Challenge
The saddle shape dynamic roof is supported by the derrick steel structure from four corners. Each corner required two concrete plinths to host the diagonal outer derrick structures. The plinth has the customized form of a tapered scalene trapezium shape with four rounded corners measuring different dimensions on top and bottom. Not only the overall volume is tapered shape, but also the top finish is in angle cut. Consystex provided the box system to achieve this design in one pour with smoothness without requiring additional finishing.
